Welcome to Black Forest Bear Park!
 Opened in July 2001, The Black Forest Bear Park is a educational family exhibit located in the beautiful mountains of Helen, Georgia. The park hosts a bear exhibit, snake exhibit and the largest gift shop in Helen. Visitors may buy food trays that consist of sliced apples and bread to feed our bears. The bears enjoy interacting with people, and people... well we're not sure which of the two enjoys interacting with the other more.

Our snake guy, Ozzy, will be back. He loves talking about the snakes and will probably have one or two out for you to interact with.

The Snake Exhibit
The snake exhibit will be open April 15, 2009 until November 1, 2009. The exhibit consists of both venomous and non-venomous snakes. Admission is included with the Bear Park admission.

The Bear Exhibit
Admission to the Bear Exhibit is $5.00 per person, children under 2 are free. Included in the admission price is the Snake Exhibit. Our Bear Exhibit consists of 17 adult bears. These animals are housed in individual enclosures, which include swimming pools and climbing trees. Guests will view the bears from a covered walkway, approximately ten feet above the bear enclosures. We sell food trays, consisting of apples and bread, so you feed the bears. The bears will wave and sometimes do tricks for you when you toss them food.

Group Rates
If you've got a group of 10 or more, give us a call about group rates. Families, churches, scouts, civic groups, preschools and summercamps are all welcome.

Every other Saturday is a reptile day!
Snake guy, Ozzy, will be here every other Saturday, starting May 30th. He's sometimes here during the week, call to see if he will be here during your visit.
